Great service and amazingly tasty food in a beautiful location. Silas really looks after his guests, I have had a fantastic lunch every time I have been here. The chicken main on the current menu is great, juicy chicken with a light char and a very tasty sauce. Also can recommend the marron and the gin and tonic lemon meringue tart. Just a great restaurant.
It's not cheap but the food was really good, with nice wine. We stayed for quite a while enjoying the experience - we had great view, sitting next to the window. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
Chef Sailas has the perfect mix of charm and culinary skills, effortlessly mingling with diners and directing the kitchen you'd be hard pressed to find a harder working restaurant owner. The wait staff are professional and attentive and the food is superb. From the perfectly cooked scallops and delicious pork dumplings to the succulent chicken and stunning duck leg you'd be hard pressed to find better food in the South West. Throw in the sweeping forest views (and a beautiful summer's day) Pepper & Salt offers an experience not to be missed. Pro tip: book ahead, it's a bit of a drive to turn up without one and not get a table.

Coming from the other side of Australia it was so very lovely to walk into your restaurant and not only receive flawless service but innovative and balanced fusion meals as we did! Pepper & Salt is outrageously good. At some point the Michelin star people are going to give all their stars to this restaurant. We enjoyed the duck Thali, gin tart and chocolate brownie. All were exquisitely tasty, flavoursome and star performers in their own right.
